Team Kobra is extremely proud to announce that we managed to sneak a top ten position at the Steineck Lodge 4XTR National Championship event on Friday 17 June! With Koos Zietsman driving a Challenge competition 4x4 vehicle for the first time in 11 years and co-driver Ntanga Mulaudzi doing co-pilot duties for the first time in his life, we are really pleased at how the day turned out for Team Kobra!

It as a tough day at the office for members of Team Z-factor competing in the ultra competitive Modified Class. Hanko Swart managed to grab 5th position after many late nights getting Thunder ready for action. On the day he and co-driver / team mechanic Marius de Blanche had to contend with teething problems but in the end they managed some really spectacular stunts! Click here for great action shots of them and other competitors taken by Sanette Zietsman who stood in for Jimmy Stonehouse, regular team photographer. Jimmy is on honeymoon on an island somewhere, bastard.....

Barrie Drenth and Jaco Groenveld gave it all the horns they had and also made for really spectacular pictures on their way to 7th position. Taking into account that they rolled twice, this is good going indeed.

Arno Drenth and co-driver Arno Drenth suffered from electrical maladies which made him miss 3 obstacles, but he came back strongly after that to finish in 9th position ahead of Team Kobra in 10th.

A big thanks to our main sponsors Maxxis and Bilstein and also to Bradbri Engineering, Elinem Engineering and The Hydraulic Connection who have stood by us over many years, we could not do this without your support and we thank you so much for that!
