Team Kobra is proud to announce that Arno and Estelle Drenth (husband and wife) had a very good day at the 3rd round of the Maxxis SA National 4XTR Championship near Fochville in the Wesvaal area on Saturday 11 April. I was away on a business trip and Estelle took my place for the day, her calming effect meant that nothing broke on Kobra and neither did they roll once! They walked away with a 6th position for the day which is a nice improvement on the 10th spot Arno and I got at the Rustenburg event. But we still have a long way to go to achieve our goal, there's no rest for the wicked, we keep on giving our best!

Arno reports that the modifications I made since Rustenburg (new brake pads and linings, new Trail Gear steering pump and Creeper universal joints from Lynton at Ultimate Offroad) certainly were an improvement, but we still have work to do to get the steering and brakes up to the level that we expect, I am on the job!

Barrie and Brendon in their Team Ultimate 4x4 vehicle had a good day to finish in 5th position, Barrie reckons that an unforced roll over the front cost them dearly and they simply could not make up the lost points before the end.

Check out the great action pictures of both Team Kobra and Team Ultimate 4x4 here, thanks to my friend Tone Botes who drove all the way to Fochville just to grab these action pictures for us, Tone, you the man!

The next 4XTR event takes place in Midvaal at the Malonjeni Lodge near Meyerton on Saturday 23 May, we will share details about the venue closer to the time. Bookmark the date, Team Kobra plans to fire on all cylinders before the mid-year break!
